Facebook Social Plugins
Social plugins from the social network Facebook (http://www.facebook.com) are used on our website (“Facebook plugins”). These Facebook plugins are not operated by us, but exclusively by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). Facebook plugins may be identified by one of the Facebook logos (a list of these may be found at http://developers.facebook.com/plugins.)

When you visit our website, containing a Facebook plugin, your browser creates a direct connection with the Facebook servers. Information is then transferred to Facebook – including your IP address – informing it that you have visited our website. If during your visit to our website you are also logged in to your personal Facebook account, Facebook is able to attribute your website visit to your account. If you click on the Facebook plugin or use any other Facebook utility (e.g. posting a comment), this information is also transferred to Facebook and stored by Facebook. To avoid this, please log out of your personal Facebook account before visiting our website. You can also block Facebook plugins using add-ons for your browser such as the add-on “Facebook Blocker”.

We are not made aware of the information collected by Facebook plugins and transferred to Facebook. To find out more about the purpose and scope of the collection, transfer, storage and use of the data gathered by Facebook plugins, in addition to your rights and privacy protection options, please visit the Privacy Policy provided by Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
